Welcome
We hope your visit to this website will give you an insight into what the St Davids PTFA is all about - why it exists, what it does and where it's going. All comments welcomed...
Alongside fundraising, the PTFA exists to provide a closer link between home and school. It is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together, socially and in support of the school. Becoming involved can be fun, enjoyable and rewarding but as with any organisation there are times when it can be challenging !
With the valued and continued support of parents, staff and friends the St David's PTFA has always succeeded in its efforts.
It is important to understand that when your child joins the school, you automatically become members of the PTFA. Parents and members of the school community can always become involved with the PTFA and any contribution of time (however small) is very much appreciated. You do not need to be on the committee and you do not need any previous experience !
Without this help, the PTFA could not hold events and would not be able to fundraise with the same success.
The St Davids PTFA is constitued with charitable objects, having formally adopted the NCPTA (National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations) constitution in 2008. We are members of the NCPTA, whose practice and guidelines we support.
We endeavour to spend our funds in a way that, over time, will benefit children across all areas of the school curriculum. Each year we hold an open meeting to discuss and prioritise areas that our members feel we should support and encourage.
You can also contribute to our 2010 'vision' by emailing vision@stdavidsptfa.org.uk with ideas on the direction that our PTFA should be taking over the coming year.
